JT9 Stainless Steel 316 (A4) Tek Screws
EJOT JT9 range of fasteners are manufactured from 316 (A4) grade austenitic stainless steel suitable for use when drilling and tapping into ALUMINIUM sections.
The 316 (A4) stainless fixing is typically used where the specification requires a higher corrosive resistance due to the local environment or nature of the building, this includes coastal/marine environments as well as food and chemical production facilities.
The drill point and thread forms are designed to provide maximum mechanical performance with ease of installation into aluminium or timber substrates.
Where specified they are assembled with a S14 (or S12 for FR version) stainless steel / EPDM vulcanised sealing washer ensuring a safe seal every time.
These fasteners are zinc coated for aesthetic reasons and waxed to lubricate the surface during installation.
Subject to design approval we typically recommend using the JT9-4 range as the 316 (A4) alternative to the JT4-4 range and the JT9-6 as the alternative to the JT4-6 for fixing light gauge aluminium sections
The fixing can fix into aluminium sheets and sections 1.5-6.0mm in thickness.

For use in high corrosive environments for assembling aluminium rainscreen bracketry. The JT9-4 Range is designed for fixing aluminium sections of 1.5 - 4.0 mm in thickness. The clamping range varies depending on the fixing WITH or WITHOUT an EPDM washer. For fixing to steel use the JT6 range.
