JT6 Stainless Steel 316 (A4) Tek Screws

EJOT JT6 range of fasteners are manufactured from 316 (A4) grade austenitic stainless steel with a hardened carbon steel drill point welded to the stainless steel shank.

The 316 (A4) stainless fixing is typically used where the specification requires a higher corrosive resistance due to the local environment or nature of the building, this includes coastal/marine environments as well as food and chemical production facilities.  

The hardened drill point enables the screw to drill carbon steel sections and by having the lead threads formed on this hardened point this allows for correct tapping at high drilling speed.

Where specified we recommend they are used with the S16, S19 or A29 (S12 for FR Version) stainless steel / EPDM vulcanised sealing washer ensuring a safe seal every time. 

Subject to design approval we typically recommend using the JT6-6 range as the 316 (A4) alternative to the JT3-3 range fixing into light to medium gauge steel sections, and the JT6-12 as the alternative to the JT3-12 when fixing into hot rolled steel sections. 

These fasteners are zinc coated for aesthetic reasons and waxed to lubricate the surface during installation.

The fixing can fix into steel structures 1.2-12.0mm in thickness.
